Do you support water cremation as an option for Markeaton Crematorium?

The City Council is planning to invest in the crematorium at Markeaton. At present the cremators burn the deceased’s bodies using gas and releasing CO2 and other pollutants into the air. A process has been developed called resomation or 'water cremation' which speeds up the natural breakdown of a body using high temperature water. Sterile, brittle bones remain to create an 'ash', and waste water can be treated through the sewage. The heating can be done using electricity not gas, so can more easily be made 'zero carbon'.
